Recent Oil Plant Strike Shows 'Zero Secure Areas in Russia's Far Hinterland'

Ukraine's drones have targeted the Russian Bashneft processing plant in the city of Ufa, positioned some 1,400 kilometers from Ukraine, triggering explosions and a blaze, per a informed individual in Ukraine's SBU.

This constitutes the 3rd SBU long-range attack in the region in the last month. These strikes demonstrate that there are no protected areas in the far hinterland of the Russia.

Efforts proceeded on the weekend to repair energy infrastructure in the Ukrainian capital, after Russian attacks.

Energy had been recovered to more than 800,000 inhabitants by Saturday and the largest private energy company stated the key operations to recover electricity was concluded though certain disruptions remained.
