The Ideal Pokémon Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution According to the Zodiac Sign

This comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense enthusiasm within the fandom. Starting with the gradual reveal of fresh additions before the title's release, to players forming firm opinions on the full lineup of new Megas, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.

With numerous of the Super Forms showcasing unique appearances that highlight their traits, one idea came to mind: How can link this with astrology? The following is based on a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.

Aries – Super Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for this fire sign, as they are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. However, a Mega Houndoom comes across as constantly angry, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, known for being playful, cheerful, and spontaneous. This makes Aries far more akin to Mega Camerupt, which solely erupts when angered. Remain on the friendly side of both and benefit from a strong partner; should you offend them, prepare to face the consequences.

Taurus – Super Heracross

Similar to a devoted Taurus, the reliable Heracross species, whether in its standard and Super Form, has assisted numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the Pokémon and a Taurus are also battle-oriented, and – be it their companion or a firm belief – will defend their side to the end. The thing about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unashamed passion for snacks. Several past Pokédex entries note their craving for sweet sap and how it employs its appendage to collect it all, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.

The Twins – Mega Medicham

Look at this absolute queen. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the soul of any gathering, providing an endless fountain of gossip to anyone who wants to hear. Much like an captivating, sociable Gemini, it's very simple to imagine Mega Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their stories. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its capacity to foresee an opponent's future actions, which seems very like a socially-savvy Twins.

Cancer – Super Manectric

The Crab is commonly considered as the most sensitive member of the zodiac, a passionate symbol known for often getting absorbed in their emotions. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution charges the creature with a “tremendous amount of energy, but it's too much for Manectric to fully manage,” which seems a lot like a classic Crab crash-out. This Pokémon is also known for its ability to make a thundercloud over its very head – and if there’s a single trait a Crab is going to do, it’s spoil their own parade.

The Lion – Super Starmie

Oh, did you assume I was planning to pick the lion Pokémon for the lion of the stars? Aside from the reality that it would be far too on the nose, The Lion is clearly Mega Starmie, the star whose gams just became an internet sensation for being too glamorous (or horrifying, based on your preference). Players were captivated from the violet starfish, and that’s precisely the same energy a Lion brings to the scene. This Pokémon is also rumored to be transmitting radio waves from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Leo to be putting on a performance, even if for aliens.

The Maiden – Super Victreebel

The always-ready and constantly-worried Virgo is ideally encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Mega with constant digestive issues. The zodiac symbol known for being charmingly judgmental is clearly reflected throughout this creature's whole evolutionary chain, from a always shocked expression like a Virgo when you inform them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its inverted face that’s just like the emoji a Virgo sends to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” instead of making a plan.

Libra – Super Audino

Look at this sweet, sensitive being, who uses the sensors on its ears to tell how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Consistently compassionate – occasionally to a fault – and trying to keep the harmony, there are numerous Scales who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s abilities. However, let’s be honest, it would probably just make them worry even more about everyone else.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Discarded as a doll, it gained sentient through sheer hatred and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That sounds precisely like several discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpio loves karma and comeuppance, making them the perfect pair with Super Banette.

The Archer – Mega Hawlucha

Each Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always putting on a show. As a Sagittarius personally, the amount of occasions I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful little entertainer” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even notes how it “poses to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer counterpart I can imagine.

Capricorn – Super Absol

Did you know that a Super Absol has the ability to predict disasters ahead of time? That gives the identical vibe as a Goat, who tends to always think they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a visionary Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute initial Super Form that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to get in on the beginning of the Mega trend.

The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure

Aloof air sign Aquarius is arguably the non-flame sign that is most like a flame symbol – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are countless jokes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being chaotic partners in crime. Super Chandelure's double Spirit/Flame typing matches seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s overall daunting presence is also extremely Aquarius. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “absorbs negative energy and transforms it into strength.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
